A: We recommend fertilising your lawn with a slow release fertiliser, such as Scott?s Lawn Builder, 2 to 3 times per year. Scott?s also have products with added weed killer or added wetting agent, which can be beneficial to your lawn. We can do this for you, and usually charge the same price as your regular lawn mowing plus costs.
A: For lawn mowing we charge a fixed price so you know exactly what you are paying each visit. For larger gardening jobs we charge a fixed price, or for smaller jobs where we are doing 1-2 hours each visit we can charge an hourly rate.
A: This depends on your type of grass and a number of other factors, but as a typical guide we suggest every 2 weeks in summer, every 3 weeks in spring and autumn and every 4 weeks in winter.
A: Most are done on a quarterly basis, but often don?t need doing through winter, but depends on the type of hedge.
A: The most effective way is to hand weed the larger and hardier weeds, poison the smaller grassier types using Glyphosate, which is very affective but is not long lasting so won?t damage the soil and then apply a mulch such as wood chip to help prevent the weeds growing back.
